Epson hits sales milestone for EcoTank Printers – 40 million sold!

Bloody hell that’s a lot of printers. Over 40 million of Epson’s EcoTank printers have been sold globally – changing the way plenty of people look at the cost of printing.

And to celebrate, they’ve also launched six new models.

EcoTank printers are an affordable long term approach to printing. In-store you might think they seem more expensive to buy, however it’s when you realise that there are no cartridges to replace, there’s no starter cartridge that runs out in just a few days. Instead, just tanks for ink that are filled by a bottle starting at $14.99.

That bottle will print thousands more pages, so the overall cost of ownership is ridiculously low compared to cartridge printing.

There are six new models, one of which is a full-colour unit – the rest are mono-printing only.

The ET-1110 is $299, and is a full-colour printer great for homes where the kids need those assignments printed. For that price, you get a printer with enough ink to print 3,600 pages in black and white and 6,500 in colour! Doing that on a cartridge printer would use 139 cartridges… ouch.

I have had an EcoTank at home now for I think four years, and we’ve filled the ink just once in that time!

Extending the range further are five mono multi-function printers great for the small or home office priced from $299 up to $519.

They’re all on sale now at Bing Lee, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, The Good Guys and at all authorised Epson resellers and retailers across Australia
