Fashion in the Kitchen: SMEG plus Dolce & Gabbana?

How outrageous can a kitchen appliance be? Well, take a top notch brand like Smeg – not cheap, but great stuff. Now throw in design by Dolce & Gabbana – that’s the latest range that will certainly stand out.

If your wife is asking – I hope you’ve got deep pockets. There are three products, a $999 toaster, $1,599 slow juicer and glamourous take on the iconic Smeg Stand mixer for $1,899.

The collection is called “Sicily is my Love” and is a collaboration between Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana.

Colour is key here so it might not match your bland kitchen, though perhaps that splash of colour is just what it needs.

You’ll find them at David Jones, Harvey Norman and Peter’s of Kensington. Crazy – but there’s something about it…
