Keeping Telstra busy on New Years Eve

Ever thought about how many people you call on New Year’s Eve to say Happy New Year!

Now add in the number of people you text message.

And now the number you send a WhatsApp message to, or an iMessage, or the videos you share on Instagram and Facebook.

It’s peak communications.

Little wonder then that on the Telstra network alone there are one-third MORE calls on New Year’s Eve than on Christmas Day!

Twelve months ago that amounted to 61 million voice calls and Telstra reckon it will be the same this year.

When it comes to all those photos and videos, that’s where the growth is – Telstra is preparing for 3.6 Petabytes of data usage – up from 2.4 Petabytes a year ago!

So, share an image – test the networks:)

Happy New Year!
