$2,699 for the Motorola Razr? That’s the price of the newest folding phone to Australia

It’s back – as we told you late last year, Motorola is bringing back the Razr – and this is cool.

Samsung premiered the Folding Screen but I think Motorola has nailed it here with the old flip phone/clamshell design bringing the total normal smartphone experience to a flip shut design.

On the inside is a 6.2 inch screen – on the outside a small 2.7 inch screen which can still be used for quick replies and even taking selfies!

But it’s on the inside that counts. A normal fully operating touch screen Android Smartphone – that folds closed.

Motorola aren’t new to the game, they’re not back to the game, they’ve been here plugging away for years – their cameras are great, their phones are great, but they needed this shot in the arm to really make their comeback.

Unfortunately, it’s a $2,699 phone – so it’s not for everyone – but it certainly seems more likable than the Samsung form factor.

There will be telcos selling the Razr, but at first, it’s a big deal for JB HiFi who will have the device from February 24.
