Kohler Launches New Shower Head with Smart Speaker

Some products are just so over the top and unnecessary, it’s exactly what makes them great. Like the new showerhead from Kohler. A smart portable speaker with in-built Alexa that slots straight into the centre of the showerhead.

That means you can play your favourite music play list, find out the weather and latest news as well as traffic conditions on your morning commute. All while you’re still in the shower.

I love the design of the product. A circular shower head with the speaker sliding up through the centre. Easily remove the speaker to place it elsewhere in the bathroom while you go about your morning routine. While in the showerhead, the speaker is held into place by a magnetically and charges on a wireless dock.

As you’d expect the speaker is waterproof with an IPX67 rating and comes in two variants. There is just a plain speaker and the second variant is the speaker with Alexa.

The standard speaker has a playback time of 6-7 hours, while the Alexa version playback time is up to 5 hours. The speaker will be available to purchase with the showerhead or you will be able to buy it separately. It’s expected that the product will go on sale sometime in 2020.

We will keep you updated with Australian release date and prices.
