Lenovo targets content creators with new Creators Series

Lenovo is launching a range of new PC products at CES this year, and while they’ve announced a range of business focused devices, they’re also going after content creators with a new Creator Series of laptops, monitors and a PC.

Yoga Creator 7
Starting with the Lenovo Yoga Creator 7, the Creator Series is part of Lenovo’s vision to enable smarter technology for a more creative world.

The Yoga Creator 7 is a laptop with a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GPU with a massive 15.6″ display with support for Delta E < 2 color accuracy.

The laptop includes options for either 8 GB or 16 GB DDR4 RAM, and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe SSD. A big battery offers up to 13 hours life, with rapid charging filling up to 80% capacity in an hour.

An integrated fingerprint reader and infrared camera with support for Windows Hello offer biometric security for your work.

Lenovo hasn’t given any price or release date for the Yoga Creator 7 beyond saying it won’t ship to North America.

IdeaPad Creator 5
If a more traditional clamshell design is more your style, the IdeaPad Creator 5 offers the same 10th generation Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GPU with a 15.6-inch FullHD IPS display that offers 100 percent AdobeRGB colour reproduction.

The Ideapad includes support for Dolby Audio, and comes with options for 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of RAM, and either 256 GB or 512 GB SSD or a 1TB Hard Drive.

Lenovo says the Ideapad Creator 5 can offer up to 8 hours of battery life.

There’s no pricing or availability information for the Ideapad Creator 5, so we’ll have to wait a bit for those details.

IdeaCentre Creator 5
Moving onto their desktop PC, the Lenovo IdeaCentre Creator 5 is a tower design desktop with an Intel Core i9 processor, up to 32GB of memory and options for either 1 TB M.2 PCIe SSD or up to 2 TB Hard Drive, with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card.

Lenovo has worked on cooling for the IdeaCentre Creator 5 with a thermal design that they say ‘provides better cooling efficiency and minimal noise’ which means no noisy fans running under load.

You get a range of ports on the tower including two USB 3.1 Gen II ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C port and four USB 2.0. Creators will be able to access memory cards through the built-in 3-in-1 Card Reader and output through HDMI or VGA.

Lenovo will begin selling the IdeaCentre Creator 5 from October in the USA from $1,099.99 USD.

Q27h and Qreator 27 Monitors
To connect to your IdeaCentre Creator 5 you can also check out two new 27-inch monitors with Lenovo announcing the Qreator 27 monitor and Q27h monitors.

The Q27h includes a 27-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution IPS display with 350 nits of brightness, while the higher end Qreator 27 monitor offers a 27-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS Smart Crystal Sound display with a gorgeous four-sided near-edgeless infinity screen design.

Qreator 27

While the Q27h includes dual 3W speakers, the Qreator 27 integrated screen panel vibrates like a speaker membrane to create an immersive sound experience.

Q27h

The Q27h offers an impressive 4ms response time, and smooth transitions with a 75Hz refresh rate. The Qreator 27 also offers a 4ms response time while lowering the refresh rate to an impressive 60Hz.

Lastly the Qreator 27 offers Qi Wireless Charging built into the monitor stand to let you charge your compatible devices without the mess of additional wires on the desktop.

Lenovo will begin selling the Q27h from April in the USA for $349.99 USD with the Qreator 27 expected to arrive slightly earlier in March for $899.99 USD.
