YouTube brings on LazarBeam, Muselk & Valkyrae to stream exclusively

In a time where video game streamers are earning millions of dollars annually, it’s no surprise that contracts and exclusive deals are being made left, right and center. The main players of industry are Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Mixer & Facebook Gaming – with Twitch not only having pioneered the space, but still leading by a significant margin.

Twitch is synonymous with game streaming. It’s the home of the vast majority of streamers and viewers – which leaves the other platforms no other choice but to poach talent and content in order to bring the fans.

LazarBeam

Two of the biggest Australian streamers, LazarBeam (with over 12m subscribers) and Muselk (with over 8m) have today made public a deal with YouTube to stream exclusively through their platform, YouTube Gaming. They’ve also signed Valkyrae, a popular streamer out of the US. The thought process being that their fans will follow suit and not look back.

As a relatively new platform, with the financial stature of being the biggest content sharing site on the planet, it’s only fair to assume that there are many more of these acquisitions to come.

Muselk

To celebrate this partnership and in order to assist with the firefighting efforts, Muselk and LazarBeam are hosting a 12 hour charity livestream today.

If you’d like to see what it’s all about, head over to Muselk’s gaming channel and take a look.

As long as this industry continues to rise and the revenue generated keeps exceeding all expectations, you can expect to see many more of these deals from the competing platforms.
