Australian Pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S20 range

Full details of the local prices for every model of the Galaxy S20 have been released with all models going on sale from March 6.

Pre-orders for the S20+ and S20 Ultra will receive a free set of Galaxy Buds+ worth $299 via redemption.

Garry McGregor from Samsung Electronics Australia said “The Galaxy S20 marks a new decade of mobile technology. Last year, Samsung pioneered the first 5G enabled smartphones in Australia and now, in 2020, we will deliver an amazing connected mobile experience with the all-new Galaxy S20 range.

“The Galaxy S20 is designed to enhance almost everything we love to do with our phones. From capturing and sharing precious moments, disappearing into our favourite music and movies to the thrill of a unique mobile gaming experience. The Galaxy S20 is designed to simply exceed expectations.

“A device with this type of camera capability is unprecedented. Combining Space Zoom, Singe Take, Bright Night and much more, the Galaxy S20 will be the most compelling smartphone on the market.”

Full Australian pricing for the Galaxy S20 range:

Model Memory Colour RRP
Galaxy S20 8GB + 128GB Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cloud Pink $ 1,349
Galaxy S20 5G 12GB + 128GB Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cloud Pink $ 1,499
Galaxy S20+ 8GB + 128GB Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black, Cloud Blue $ 1,499
Galaxy S20+ 5G 12GB + 128GB Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black, Cloud Blue $ 1,649
Galaxy S20+ 5G 12GB + 512GB Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black, Cloud Blue $ 1,899
Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G 12GB + 128GB Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black $ 1,999
Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G 16GB + 512GB Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black $ 2,249

What that table shows us is that 5G is a $150 premium to pay – how that plays out in Telco land is hard to tell. Until now the hype over 5G sales has been based on free upgrades and devices that didn’t come in a 4G v 5G option – likelyhood is though that small price to pay will be enough for most to choose 5G as we move to a massive year for 5G in Australia.
