Fetch buys Fire Fight Concert tickets for 1,000 RFS Volunteers! $100k into the fundraising

Fetch TV has purchased 1,000 tickets to this weekend’s National Bushfire Relief concert at ANZ Stadium to allow 1,000 RFS volunteers and their families to enjoy the concert live!

Working with the Fire Fight concert promoters TEG Life and TEG Dainty the tickets have been distributed by the NSW RFS to show their appreciation for the amazing effort undertaken in recent months to fight these fires.

The $100,000 proceeds from the tickets will go to the Fire Fight Australia appeal to support services and people in communities impacted by the bushfires.

By any measure this is going to be one hell of a concert – 5 Seconds of Summer, Alice Cooper, Amy Shark, Baker Boy, Conrad Sewell, Daryl Braithwaite, Delta Goodrem, Grinspoon, Guy Sebastian, Hilltop Hoods, ICEHOUSE, Illy, Jessica, Mauboy, k.d. lang, John Farnham, Lee Kernaghan, Olivia Newton-John, Peking Duk, Pete Murray, Queen + Adam Lambert, Ronan Keating, Tina Arena and William Barton.

Anthony Clark from the NSW RFS said “This bushfire season has been the most challenging in our history – in terms of impact on the community, loss of life and fire conditions. There’s been an incredible response from emergency services and firefighters from all over Australia and further abroad, but it’s great to recognise some of those volunteers who have worked so hard simply because of a desire to protect their own community. Many of our volunteers have been working on fires since August last year – so thanks to Fetch TV and TEG, this will give some of them a much needed break and some time with their families”.

And for those of us who can’t make it, it will be broadcast live and free at 1pm on Channel 7 and 7 Plus.

And if you’ve got plans – set a recording on your Fetch box for Sunday 1pm on Channel 7 it will be worth it!
