Foxtel is under the pump right now, their call centre is overwhelmed by people calling to alter or even cancel their packages as hard times hit many Aussie households.
CEO Patrick Delaney apologised to customers and asked for patience as they freed up resources to deal with the overwhelming demand.
At the same time, just last week it was announced that those on the lower package plans with limited channel access were getting a boost to their channel numbers, access to Drama, Entertainment and more.
Sadly, that left some people complaining that they were paying full freight and getting nothing.
Not quite in response, but perhaps as a sign of just how reliant Foxtel is on Live Sport – today, Foxtel has offered the Movies package to customers signed up to Sport.
Here’s how they word it:
While we miss live sport, all our Sports subscribers will have access to the Movies pack until 30 June 2020 on us. You can also continue to enjoy the Sports Pack with a combination of sports archive specials, new sport documentaries and more.
With Foxtel Movies you’ll have access to thousands of hours of movies, to make things a little easier to keep the family entertained at home. Discover new blockbuster movies from Hollywood studios, old favourites and constant new titles added every month. Whether you’re into Action adventures, award winning Drama, want a laugh with a Comedy, need a family friendly flick for the Kids, want to fall in love with a Romance or be on the edge of your seat with a Thriller. You’ll always find something great to watch with our wide selection of Movies available to watch live on 10 ad-break free channels or anytime On Demand. Settle in with a new movie at home tonight.
