LG brings new K-Series phones with quad-camera to Australia from $259

LG has today announced their new range of affordable K-Series handsets are available to purchase in Australia.

LG is bringing three phone to our shores for this launch, with the K61, K51S and K41S available for $429, $329 and $259 respectively.

The phones include a large display with notch and hole-in designs to house a front-facing camera. LG is using Mediatek octa-core processors for the K-Series with 4GB of RAM for the K61 and 3GB for the K51S and K41S.

All three handsets include a quad-camera array on the rear including a Main sensor with a Wide-Angle, Macro and Depth sensing camera. The main sensor on all three phones supports 4x Pixel binning to offer a condensed shot with more detail. Across the range the K61 includes a 48MP main sensor, while the K51S gets a 32MP sensor and the K41S has a 13MP sensor. LG has included AI CAM mode which supports  eight different modes of shooting people, animal, food, and more, offering optimal settings for each.

LG has always been right at the top of their game with sound, and the K-Series is no different, firstly retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack which also offers support for DTS:X 3D Sound which gives you a cineamtic stereoscopic experience when you plug your headphones in.

Design wise the phones come with MIL-STD-810G rating which includes making them a good choice for a busy lifestyle, or for one of the kids. They also include a dedicated Google Assistant button, with a fingerprint sensor on the rear.

K51S

Disappointingly it appears LG is launching the phones with Android 9.0, an OS which is again about to be superseded with the launch of Android 11 expected later this year.

LG has announced that we’ll only be seeing the phones hitting Australia in Titan Grey, but it looks pretty decent with minimal bezels surrounding the large display.

K41S

LG has announced the phones will be hitting months’. You’ll be able to get your hands on the phones when they arrive at  JB HiFi, The Good Guys, Big W, Bing Lee, Kmart, Australia Post and Target stores ‘over the coming . You can check the LG K-Series phones out now on the LG Australia website.
