realme smartwatch and X3 SuperZoom phone are launching in Australia on July 2nd

Smartphone maker realme has today announced they’re bringing the X3 SuperZoom smartphone, and their realme Smartwatch to Australia from July 2nd.

realme X3 SuperZoom
The realme X3 SuperZoom is designed with gamers and photographers in mind, and comes with two configurations to suit different budgets.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, but comes with either 8GB RAM/128GB storage for $699, or 12GB RAM/256GB storage for $799.

The phone includes a massive 6.57-inch FullHD+ resolution display which runs at 120Hz. The higher refresh rate looks smoother and offers a cleaner look for transitions in applications, and especially in gaming.

realme have included a total of six cameras on the X3 SuperZoom, with a dual front-facing camera setup offering a 32MP sensor with an additional 8MP sensor behind an ultra-wide angle lens. On the rear you get four camera sensors with a 64MP main sensor with an 8-MP wide-angle camera, and a 2-MP macro camera – but the real star is the 8MP sensor which is paired with a 5x Optical periscope zoom, which combines to give a 60x ‘SuperZoom’ function making it ‘easy to snap sharp and clear shots even from 100 meters away’.

realme have also included 30W Dart Charge with the X3 SuperZoom, which means you can fill 70% of the 4200mAh battery in just 30 minutes, or up to 100% in under an hour.

The realme Watch was announced as part of the companies expansion into the smart accessory market back in February. realme has so far released the smartband and buds TWS earphones in Australia, and now it’s time for the realme SmartWatch.

Addressing the elephant in the room, the watch certainly has the look of another well known smartwatch, though with a few subtle differences, but at $169, it’s certainly a lot easier on the wallet.

The realme watch has a large, easy to read 1.4″ colour touchscreen and comes with a real-time heart rate monitor, sport mode capabilities, music playback and camera smart controls. The watch software also includes 12 built-in watch faces to accessorise your day.

The realme watch includes functional, as well as fitness focused modes. Notifications from your phone are displayed, and you can reject calls from your wrist too. You can see weather forecasts and get more into fitness with idle activity and hydration alerts, as well as daily exercise reminders.

realme have included the usual PPG optical heart rate monitor, but they’ve also included support for monitoring your blood oxygen saturation levels (SpO2).

We are excited to be branching further into this market with the all new smart realme Watch, and look forward to Aussies experiencing the lifestyle benefits such smart technology brings.’

The realme watch comes with a black strap, though options for red, green and blue are available to personalise your device even more. The bands are easy to swap too with a one-button quick detach.
