You can now price-match 5G phones at Optus

The rollout of 5G networks across the country has seen some healthy competition from Aussie Telco’s and Optus is adding another factor to think about – Price matching.

The Optus 5G Price Match Promise is a simple concept whereby Optus will match any competitor’s upfront retail price on the same 5G mobile phone, if the phone is also sold by Optus.

Optus’ Managing Director of Marketing and Revenue Matt Williams said, “At Optus we believe the amazing potential with 5G and that’s why we’re now offering a 5G Price Match Guarantee on 5G phones.

There are of course some Terms and Conditions for the price match. The price has to be advertised, so no special deals worked out with a sales person. If you get the phone on a payment plan, you’ll get the difference between the price back as a credit on your phone plan each month. If you buy the phone outright though you’ll only be charged the priced matched price.

Offering to price match phones shows confidence in their 5G network, and they have good reason with Optus winning Canstar Blue’s ‘Phone on a Plan’ Outstanding value winner two years running.

Mr Williams said “With our 5G network constantly growing, we want to ensure that Optus is always considered as the carrier of choice for every Australian looking to purchase a new phone.

There’s a lot of competition in the 5G space, so it’s good to see the price of new phones can be a differentiator. You can check out more about the Optus 5G Price Match promise on the Optus website, and talk to their sales people through chat or online, or give them a call.
