EFTM Best SUV 2020: Mercedes-Benz GLC 300e

Perhaps our first controversial decision of the 2020 awards season – I hear ya.

But Flipsy was besotted by this car, as was Mrs Flipsy. And she’s no pushover when it comes to cars let me tell you.

This is ever bit a Mercedes Benz, so there’s that luxury all around the interior, as well as the overall fit and finish.

But there’s also the fuel economy and eco credentials that come from this bearing the Mercedes Benz EQ badge and the “e” on the end of the model number.

This is plug-in hybrid power, which gives you the electric experience without the range anxiety headache of a full EV.

We reckon plug-in hybrid is the way forward as we move toward an EV future.
