Samsung Galaxy S21 renders leak ahead of January launch

Samsung’s upcoming 2021 flagship has begun leaking in earnest, ahead of a highly rumoured January launch.

Official looking renders of the Galaxy S21 have appeared thanks to Evan Blass, who published them on Voice. Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de has also published renders of the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus confirming the design of the phones will be similar.

As expected there are three models of the Galaxy S21: the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus will share the same rear camera specs – 12MP Ultra-Wide, 12MP Main and 64MP Telephoto – while the Galaxy S21 Ultra will have an additional sensor and secondary Telephoto lens on board.

The Galaxy S21 renders are shown off in a number of colour options, though it’s expected that colour choices will be defined by the model of the phone.

Max Weinbach from Android Police published colour rumours last month which now appear to be lining up nicely.

Colours shown also line up with rumoured announcement and launch dates for the Galaxy S21. Leaker Jon Prosser, who has previously had a good hit rate with Google’s Pixel launch and other phone announcements, sent this tweet out last month.

I don’t know about anyone else, but that purple is looking pretty darn attractive at the moment, or of course traditional black looks great too. We’ll find out more in the new year, when we expect Samsung to officially announce their first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2021 – where we also expect to see Samsung’s new Galaxy Buds Pro, which Evan has also leaked over on Voice.

Unfortunately there’s no information on specs for the Galaxy Buds Pro, but we’re getting excited for a very Samsung heavy January!
