Spacetalk updates to 4G with the Spacetalk Adventurer Kids smartwatch

Aussie smart watch company Spacetalk has launched a new generation of their successful kids smartwatch with a range of new features and connectivity. The Spacetalk Adventurer has a higher price but a big leap in features.

At $349 the Spacetalk Adventurer is more affordable than an Apple Watch with Family Setup, and is designed with just one thing in mind – kids.

Updates for the Adventurer model include 4G connectivity to ensure it’s working for many years ahead on our mobile networks.

Additionally, the Spacetalk Adventurer features a heart-rate monitor, water resistance and an improved battery size to cope with these new features.

Perhaps most notably, there’s now a 5MP camera above the watch-face allowing for video calling messaging (The original version of this article mentioned video calling – that is not available).

Available in four “on trend” colours, midnight, coral, mist and ocean the speckled finish to the watch colour, along with the white strip on the face where the camera sits are the defining features of the new Spacetalk Adventurer.

Outright the cost of the Spacetalk Adventurer is $349, you’ll need to pay $5.99 per month subscription for the Spacetalk app, as well as a mobile subscription.

Finally, there’s also a new “Family Chat” function, allowing multiple members of your family to join in a conversation using their own mobile phone and the Spacetalk app.

Available now at JB Hi-Fi and direct from Spacetalk.
