Hisense launches Mini LED TVs for 2021 – brightness and contrast the key benefits

Coming to Australia in both 4K and 8K Variants, Hisense has announced a new backlighting technology will feature in their 2021 ULED TV range – Mini LED.

This completes their Premium ULED TV range, offering a precise and more true-to-life picture quality through impressive brightness which is created by direct-lit LEDs behind the LCD panel.

In the past Hisense has been one of the most vocal TV brands in highlighting their “Full Array” local dimming which is the process of separating the screen into smaller and smaller areas of light shining through the panel to allow you to “see” the picture.

The smaller the area of brightness, the more accurate the mix of colours and dark areas.

Mini LED backlighting allows for thousands and thousands of extremely small LEDs to be individually lit to suit the picture as it happens.

Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia, Andre Iannuzzi, said: “Following extensive testing and refinement, we are pleased to introduce our Mini LED TVs which will complete our 2021 ULED TV range. In particular, the exceptional ULED 8K Mini LED TV represents the epitome of our local foray
into 8K and is set to be one of the best televisions in its category.

“As with all of our TVs, our ULED Mini LED TVs aim to exceed customer expectations. From their ability to upscale lower resolution content to create a pristine and precise picture quality through to their intuitive smarts, these are – in every sense – ultra-premium TVs. We are excited to be introducing ULED Mini LED TV technology to Australians and are confident it will resonate well in market,”

The key to this TVs picture is the dramatic improvement in brightness in the coloured and light areas of the screen, paired with the deeper blacks that come from the ability to individually light tiny areas of the screen.

Launching the range will be a ULED Mini LED TV at 75 inches and 8K resolution. That will be followed by a 4K model in both 65 and 75 inch sizes.

Hisense’s ULED Mini LED TVs will be IMAX Enhanced, offering HDR 10+ as well as Dolby Vision HDR as well as being 4K HDR and 8K Ultra HD Certified.

For those who spend more time watching TV than they realise, Hisense ULED Mini LED TVs will also feature TUV Care+ low blue light certification, the kind of eye care screen technology we’ve seen in mobile devices in recent years.

We expect more details about the range, and pricing, to come in March or April of this year.

We’re very much looking forward to getting “eyes on” with the Hisense ULED Mini LED TVs in 2021.
