As well as antimicrobial backpacks, Targus has also announced a range of antimicrobial tablet cases, privacy screens, mice, and keyboards.

We’ve seen a few Ultra-Violet light based products launch, and Targus has extended this to include a UV-C LED Disinfection Light which will ‘reduce pathogens on device surfaces inside the active disinfection area’. The lamp works by switching on for 5 minutes every hour, once it detects no activity in the safety zone. It has an auto shut-off if movement is detected to prevent any issues with the UV-C light.

Targus is also launching a new range of cases and docks, with a universal USB-C phone dock letting you connect your phone to a host of external accessories.

The USB-C phone dock let’s you connect your compatible smartphone to an external HDMI television or monitor, while also giving you access to USB ports, Ethernet port and SD or microSD card.

Also announced is a Tablet Cradle Workstation for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3, which lets you dock the tablet and take advantage of the DeX desktop functionality. and use it as a workstation.

At this stage only US pricing is available for most of the Targus announcements, with most arriving in ‘Spring’ (that’s Autumn here in Australia) 2021. We’ll let you know if Targus Australia has any word on local availability.
