New ZenBook Duo and ZenBook Flip laptops arrive in Australia

At their CES event at the beginning of January, ASUS unveiled their new line of ZenBook laptops. ASUS announced updated ZenBook Duo and ZenBook Flip models, and while we knew they were coming, we’ve had to wait until now for pricing and availability information.

ZenBook Duo

The ZenBook Duo 14 (UX482) and ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582) were announced with updates to the internals, and refinements on design which boost performance and usability of their ScreenPad Plus.

The ZenBook Duo 14 (UX482) includes a 14-inch FHD resolution display, as well as 12.6-inch ScreenPad Plus which sits on the lower deck above the keyboard.

The specs have been updated to include the latest 11th Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with Xe Graphics as well as NVIDIA MX450 discrete graphics. as well as options for up to 32GB DDR (4266) RAM and up to 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 Performance SSD.

The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 on the other hand brings a brilliant 15.6-inch OLED touch display as well as a 14-inch ScreenPad Plus secondary display on the lower deck.

ASUS is sticking with the 10th Gen Intel Core processors for this release, pairing it with an NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU for awesome performance on the go. The company is using 10th Gen “Comet Lake” Intel processors on the UX582 for now, but will switch to Tigerlake as soon as they can, which will bring additional benefits such as Thunderbolt 4.

As far as memory goes, ASUS is offering up to 32GB DDR4 (2933) RAM and up to 1 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 Performance SSD.

ASUS says that the ZenBook Duo 14 will arrive ‘mid-Feb’ and start from $2,999. ASUS Still hasn’t firmed up the ZenBook Pro DUo 15 OLED dates and pricing yet – but we’ll update here when they do.

I’ve already taken a look at the ZenBook Duo 14 and you can read that review here.

ZenBook Flip

ASUS has announced two new ZenBook Flip models, the ZenBook Flip S, and the ZenBook Flip 13 – and the good news is that they’re both on-sale in Australia right now.

The ZenBook Flip S (UX371) comes with a red “copper” diamond cutting design which includes  a 4K UHD OLED NanoEdge display and 360° ErgoLift hinge letting you use the Flip S how you need it.

ASUS are offering up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, with up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, with either 512GB or 1TB storage. The discrete Intel Xe graphics will provide great performance, and you also get the benefit of Thunderbolt 4, Wifi 6 and more.

The laptop is thin and light, but still carries a US MIL-STD 810G military-grade rating so you can take it on the road with confidence.

The ZenBook Flip 13 (UX363) is an all-new ultraportable for ASUS that shows off an ultra-vivid 13.3-inch FHD resolution OLED touch screen display.

The latest 11th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors are on offer, with a 512GB SSD and either 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM. ASUS will again utilise the Intel Xe graphics card for the ZenBook Flip 13.

ASUS is offering both the ZenBook Flip S and the ZenBook Flip 13 for sale right now, with the ZenBook Flip 13 (UX363) priced from $1,799, while the ZenBook Flip S (UX371) starts from $2,999. You can check out both ZenBook Flip models on the ASUS website now.
