You can now get a 5G smartphone for under $500 with the realme 7 5G

realme is the world’s fastest growing smartphone brand and have been making inroads into the Australian market with some high-quality smartphones at extremely competitive prices. They have done it again, introducing the new realme 7 5G for under $500.

Not only does the realme 7 5G arrive with 5G support but brings with it some impressive specs, especially for a device under $500. Late last year we reviewed the realme 7 Pro and the realme 7 5G is extremely similar in nearly every day, in fact housing the exact same camera system as the Pro.

The camera promises to be extremely competitive for the lower end of the mid-ranger market, housing a 48MP main lens, an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MPB&W portrait lens. The selfie camera also promises to be impressive with a 16MP lens capable of depth effect for those portrait selfies.

Along with its 6.5-inch 120Hz display and 30W fast charging capabilities the realme 7 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery — something sure to stand up to the rigours of 5G connectivity. Even if you do manage to run out the battery, using their 30W Dart Charging technology the realme 7 5G can be charged from 0 to 60% in just 30 minutes.

The realme 7 5G is available for pre-order now at JB Hi-Fi and realme e-store and on sale on February 11 at realme e-store, JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Bing Lee, mobileciti, 5GWORLD, Amazon, Kogan, eBay, The Good Guys and Catch.com.au for just $499 in both Mist Blue and Flash Silver. As an added bonus, the first 4,000 purchasers will receive a pair of bonus realme Buds Q valued at $79.

5G is here in Australia in most areas and with the realme 7 5G available at such an affordable price one barrier into the world of 5G has now been lifted. 5G for all.
