Ever wanted to look over at your charging iPhone and be able to determine if it’s fully charged with a quick glance at the cable? Well now you can thanks to Belkin and their new Smart LED Cables.
Today, as part of their BOOST CHARGE™ line up, Belkin has released the new Smart LED Cable range. The new cables are available two configurations — BOOST CHARGE™ Smart USB-A Cable with Lightning Connector and BOOST CHARGE™ Smart USB-C Cable with Lightning Connector configurations allowing you to charge your iPhone from whichever power source you choose.
The cables use a custom circuit board with proprietary firmware to communicate with the iPhone’s battery, displaying an amber light when charging and a green light when the device is at 100%. This obviously allows you to determine if your phone has finished charging with a quick glance.
The new Smart LED Cables allow users to charge their iPhone at up to 12W using a wall or car charger. If you own an iPhone 8 or newer you can also use the Smart LED Cable with a PD-enabled USB-C charger to charge your phone from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes.
“By adding the convenience of indicative lighting to an MFi-certified, highly durable cable that can be matched with a PD-enabled charger for fast charging, we continue to innovate in the cables category to add further convenience to the lives of our consumers.” says Jamie Laing-Reece, Head of Product Management at Belkin ANZ.
On keeping with their renowned durability, the Belkin cables are manufactured with a durable aircraft-grade aluminium overmold to withstand wear and tear. The double-braided nylon exterior, help the Smart LED Cables to maintain an elegant look and feel.
The BOOST CHARGE™ Smart Cable range comes in three classic colours, to suit any style, including black, silver and grey.
