Sony introduces three new speakers to liven up your party

Who doesn’t love some great music at a party? Today Sony have announced a new X-Series speaker range with three new wireless speakers designed to be perfect for any sized party.

The three new speakers announced by Sony are the SRS-XP700, the SRS-XP500 and the SRS-XG500. All of the speakers are wireless and can be used indoors or outdoors and promise Sony quality sound, portability, durability and some fancy lighting.

The SRS-XP700 is the biggest of them all with three front tweeters and one rear tweeter delivering omnidirectional party sound with a “clear punchy bass”. The XP500 and the XG500 on the other hand have two front tweeters only with the XG500 also containing passive radiators to produce clear bass.

The XG500 has an IP66 water resistant and dustproof rating allowing it to be used in many situations including by the pool or at the beach. The XP700 and the XP500 are not quite as durable but do have an IPX4 water resistant rating so a few drops of rain needn’t spoil the party.

All three speakers include a battery for that portable use along with carry handles. To round off the features Sony have included ambient lighting and inputs for a microphone and/or a guitar for that karaoke session after you are a few drinks in.

All three speakers include USB ports for charging devices and USB playing of music — but you can also stream music using Bluetooth.

These speakers are not the first of this type available with similar offerings from JBL having been around for a while now and come highly recommended.

The Sony SRS-XP700, SRS-XP500 and SRS-XG500 will be available in Australia from June 2021.

  • SRS-XP700 – $699.00
  • SRS-XP500 – $499.00
  • SRS-XG500 – $629.00
