Amazon AU launches Amazon Warehouse for deals on pre-owned and open box items

Amazon Australia has today launched a new storefront on their marketplace — the Amazon Warehouse. The new storefront will offer deals on items that are pre-owned or open box, with all items being checked thoroughly before being put on sale.

The range of items on sale on the Amazon Warehouse is everything you could think of from smartphones, laptops and tablets to home appliances, books, kitchen and dining and more. Unlike eBay each and every item is fulfilled and checked by Amazon and comes with the usual Amazon customer service and returns rights.

Matt Furlong, Amazon Australia Country Manager, said: “Items are returned to Amazon for many reasons – sometimes a product is just not what a customer is looking for, or perhaps there’s a cosmetic defect or the packaging is damaged. These items can’t then be sold as new but are still great quality and in good working condition. Amazon Warehouse gives these products a new lease on life and offers customers an even wider selection to choose from.”

After being checked that each item is functional and in good physical condition, Amazon are then grading the used products themselves into “Like New”, “Very Good”, “Good”, and “Acceptable” categories. Obviously, this grading determines the discount on the product.

Free shipping with Prime membership is available on eligible products. For more information or to check out if there’s anything you want for cheap head on over to the Amazon Warehouse storefront now.
