OPPO recently surveyed users regarding what they look for when they purchase new earphones and price and quality were the two main factors (30% and 29% respectively). Following this they have expanded their ENCO range of earphones with something for everyone across the entire range. The new OPPO Enco Air, OPPO Enco Free2 and OPPO Enco X look to improve on their range with some great new features and an improvement in sound quality.
The Enco Air are OPPO’s new true wireless earphones and include Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and their Vocal Enhancement Mode algorithm to enrich the sound and create an immersive experience. They are designed to deliver a deep bass with high quality sound across the entire spectrum through the implementation of adaptive AI noise cancellation.
The Enco Air includes fast charging capabilities with a 10 minute charge providing up to eight hours of playback. A full charge will provide you up to 24 hours of listening time and up to 15 hours of call time. Priced at $149 they are relatively affordable for decent true wireless earphones.
A new addition to the Enco family is the Enco Free 2 filling the sub-$200 segment at just $199. These true wireless earphones offer Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) and a sound equaliser to tailor the sound to your liking. Designed in partnership with Danish H-Fi company Dynaudio they promise to deliver rich natural sounds without having to worry about surrounding noise disturbing your experience.
The ANC is designed to adapt to your ear canal shape along with the use of an advanced ANC chip to offer greater noise cancellation. The Enco Free2 also include six microphones (three each side) to enhance voice while cancelling out the background. With these features you can expect crystal clear calls, even in noisy environments. The ANC can also be turned off in Transparency Mode so you can hear your surrounds as required.
When combined with the charging case the Enco Free2 provides up to 30 hours of playback thanks to its low energy Bluetooth 5.2 connection.
OPPO’s Enco X are their high end TWS earphones retailing at $349 and at that price you would expect so great sound and features. Not only do the Enco X offer active noise cancelling but also four different settings of noise cancelling to allow various levels of background noise into your experience. The noise cancellation is performed using an internal dual core chip and a dual-microphone design.
Designed for audiophiles and people who love high quality music they feature OPPO’s Dynamic Bass Enhanced 3.0 Acoustic System that uses a coaxial dual-driver system more commonly found in high end audio devices. Various components of the system deliver sounds in various pitch ranges resulting in a natural, high-definition audio output across the entire spectrum.
The headphones, with case, offer up to 25 hours on a single charge with the case also offering wireless charging placing it well and truly — feature wise — at the top end of the true wireless earphone market.
You can grab the entire range through OPPO’s online store now.
