Lenovo Smart Clock 2 with optional wireless charging dock now available in Australia

The new Lenovo Smart Clock 2 announced back in June is hitting retailers in Australia, with options to buy it with, or without the optional wireless charging dock.

The Google Assistant powered Smart Clock 2 has a new, taller design than the original but keeps the same 4” IPS LCD touch display. Speakers also remain the same though they’ve been repositioned so they’re now forward firing for improved sound quality, especially for those placing it against a wall.

The Smart Clock 2 comes in two colour options in Australia, grey or blue, and offers the option to add a Qi compatible 10W wireless charger for convenient charging. The dock also has ‘a soft, ambient nightlight’ feature with light emanating from the base of the wireless charger, though you can apparently turn this off.

Lenovo has priced the Smart Clock 2 at $99 in Australia, or $129 with the Qi Wireless charging dock.

In terms of availability JB Hifi has listed the dock as available for pre-order, with sales starting on the 30th of August, but appears to be available already at Officeworks (no dock option, but only $94), Bing Lee (Grey only) and The Good Guys.
