OPPO release the affordable A94 5G, exclusive to Telstra

5G is no longer the exclusive domain of premium smartphones with increasingly affordable smartphones including the new connectivity each year. OPPO has today launched a new 5G smartphone into their entry-level A-series of smartphones — the A94 5G.

The A-series already includes the A74 5G and the A54 5G with the A94 5G offering a bump in specs while maintaining that affordable moniker. The new A94 5G, exclusive to Telstra, sports a decent 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a small punch-hole in the display for the selfie camera.

The rear camera system promises to produce decent imagery with a quad camera system — 48MP main camera, 8MP wide-angled macro camera, a 2MP portrait Mono Camera and a 2MP macro mono camera. OPPO has included their AI camera features to help you capture the best possible images in each and every scenario. Also included is their Ultra Night Video algorithm, Night Plus and dual-view video to provide an all-round camera experience.

The phone is powered by a decent 4,310mAh battery offering up to 16.7 hours of video playback. Should you run out of juice though the battery can be charged quickly using the 30W VOOC Flash charger — this can charge the phone from empty to full in under an hour.

ColorOS 11 on top of Android 11 is included on the A94 5G. OPPO’s user interface has improved a lot and includes many enhancements to improve your user experience while at the same time maintaining its speed and fluidity — so much so that it is now my daily smartphone UI.

The new OPPO A94 5G is available from today at Telstra in Fluid Black for $599. If you need a new 5G smartphone this is yet another one you should be checking out. For more information on the A94 5G head on over to the OPPO website.
