Sennheiser CX True Wireless Review: Great sound, Great Price!

If you think we’re reaching saturation point for headphones on the market, think again – I could probably review a new set every couple of days and still be struggling to keep up. But these new Sennheiser CX True Wireless have been in my ears on and off for more than a month, and for good reason.

Put simply, they’re great headphones. More importantly, the price is sharp. $199. That’s $100 less than the previous CX 400BT models which are the same size and shape.

Now, from what I can see, these are better – with not just a better price, but also a better battery – which is probably the key selling point for these earphones after the Sennheiser name.

They’re not small by any means, they are chunky fellas which fill that ear but surprisingly don’t actually stick out that far.

I think the sound profile of the Sennheiser CX True Wireless would best be described as clear – no overpowering bass, and a generally neutral tone.

Through the app you can customise the EQ to suit, but for me they are best just out of the box

I wish they were smaller, for sure, but if you’re getting Sennheiser Sound, plus 9 hours of battery life – at $199 – there has to be some compromise.

It’s a really competitive price, in a packed market – but no one is going to question your purchase of a set of Sennheiser headphones, these won’t disappoint.
