A very personal cuppa – Cricut launching the Mug Press in Australia

Crafty folks will know all about the Cricut Mug Press, but if you’ve never heard of it, this is the device that lets you make ultra personalised Mugs for your mates.

With Christmas approaching fast, and the Cricut Mug Press available from November, the best gift this year might be a fun or fascinating personally designed Mug.

Using Cricut Infusible Ink material you can create your very own design, place it into the Mug Press along with a Cricut compatible Mug and the design will be heat pressed onto the Mug with a professional look.

Nicola Dow-Smith, Cricut’s local director here in Australia says “We are excited to bring the Cricut Mug Press to our passionate Cricut community. They have been waiting patiently and eagerly for this launch, following release in the US earlier this year. Its ease of use and form factor has led to it being a highly sought-after product globally. This innovation is all about personalisation and making it easier than ever. Anyone can create a professional customised mug in minutes, it’s the perfect gift and also perfect for making gifts this holiday season,”

Be it a simple name, or a complex design, be it for one person or a whole family – this is one of a huge range of new DIY ideas that are taking over the gift giving ideas of thousands of Aussie homes.

The Cricut Mug Press will be available for pre-order from Harvey Norman and Spotlight from October 1, with the device going on sale from November 1.

The Cricut Mug Press itself will cost $299, the ink is $12.95 while two mugs will set you back $12.95 and a pack of six mugs for $29.95.
