LG launches new true wireless earbuds and a booming 360 degree speaker — both set to amp up sound performance

LG is not a name we just first to when we mention high quality sound but they certainly do offer some great sound products and they have just announced two new products in their “enhanced sound performance” range — the LG TONE Free FP9A wireless earbuds and the LG XBOOM 360 speaker.

LG TONE FP series wireless earbuds

The LG Tone FP series wireless earbuds (models FP9A, FP8A & FP5A) offer a series of earbuds with various features ranging in quality and price. As you would expect the more expansive series, the FP9A offer everything you would expect in a premium set of earbuds.

The FP5A model is their entry level model and includes the basics along with a long battery life (8hours in earbuds and 22 hours in total). The next step up is the FP8A model which adds wireless charging and an even longer battery life (10 hours and 24 hours in total including the case). For those looking to play at the most premium end of the series, the FP9A offer a Plug and Play option to connect wirelessly to other devices with an AUX connection — the charging case doubles as a Bluetooth dongle.

Other features included are active noise cancelling across all three new models and the integration of a UVC-LED light into the charging case for kill 99.9% of e.coli and s.aureus bacteria after five minutes. Available in October via the LG website or at selected retailers the pricing is yet to be confirmed but expect to be similar to comparable products already on the market.

LG XBOOM 360 portable speaker

The LG XBOOM 360 portable speaker is LG’s premium portable speaker and is designed for audio entertaining at home. The omni-directional audio (360deg.) is delivered by a titanium tweeter and a bass duct resulting in a rich dynamic sound across the audio spectrum.

The speaker can deliver music for up to 10 hours and includes three different mood lighting presets along with customisable sound effects using the LG XBOOM app. The handle offers an ease of carrying from one location to another with the design of the speaker’s exterior meaning it will fit into your home decor seamlessly.

The LG XBOOM 360 RP4B speaker will be available in Charcoal Black at major retailers and online LG.com/au from November 2021.
