Telco

Telstra

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be heading to Telstra from October 28th, with an insanely good pre-order price being offered by the telco on all storage options, though selected colours (including exclusives) on both phones.

Telstra notes that the Google Pixel 6 Pro is the first mmWave compatible handset available in Australia. Telstra has noted that mmWave is the next stage in the evolution of Telstra 5G and offers very high download speeds, though at very limited range, making it limited use at the moment but if you do have access to a mmWave enabled tower it should give you a boost in speed.

Telstra is offering customers signing up to a 12, 24 or 36 month plan extremely good pre-order pricing if ordered between the 20th-27th of October. It’s a hard cut-off with the price going back to RRP on launch day of the 28th of October.

Optus

Optus too will be offering the Pixel 6 Pro, with a pre-order bonus of a pair of Pixel Buds A-Series, valued at $159 on offer. The Optus pre-order offer ends 14/11/21, so you’ll have some time to get your order in, though you may not want to wait.

The Pixel 6 pro being the first mmWave 5G compatible phone in Australia is also a big selling point for Optus who are rolling out mmWave 5G under the ‘Optus 5G Max’ brand in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Harvey Wright, Head of 5G at Optus said: “The Google Pixel 6 Pro is the first handset in Australia to launch with mmWave capability. Optus 5G Max, our mmWave capable network, is starting to roll out in select areas of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and as we continue to grow this network more and more of our customers will have access to the fastest 5G – allowing them to stream, share and create the content they want, when they want.

Customers can pre-order the phone from today on a range of competitive plans from Optus, including their $91.08 per month option over 36 months  which includes their $55 plan + $36.08 handset repayment. The plan includes unlimited national calls and Text, as well as 80GB of included monthly data (min. total cost $1,354). You also get access to Optus Sport with OS Fitness as part of your monthly plan.

Vodafone

Vodafone will be offering a range of plans for both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in 128GB and 256GB storage options.

Customers looking to nab a Google Pixel 6 (128GB) with 40GB/month can get it for just $67.75 a month (device cost + plan fees included) over 36 months on a $40 Lite Plan (total min cost $1039.00).  Any customers aiming at the Google Pixel 6 Pro (128GB) can get it with 40GB/month for $76.08 a month (device cost + plan fees included) over 36 months on a $40 Lite Plan (total min cost $1338.88).
