The new Rode PSA1+ compared to the PSA1 – Microphone arms at ten paces

Last week Rode microphones announced their new PSA1+ microphone arm for those looking to up their studio game. Now, we’ve had a chance to put it side by side with the original to see how it looks.

Without question its a fresher look, though still pretty much the same device. The extra value (PSA1+ is $199 compared to the PSA at $139) comes in the finishing touches. The mounting bracket and the desk mount.

In the video above, I drill right through my studio desk and mount the new PSA1+ as you can too.

It’s a great look, and an ever so slightly smoother use. The perfect addition to a podcast studio.
