OPPO adds to their A series range with the affordable A54s

OPPO are continuing to add to their already extensive range of affordable devices and today has added the new A54s to the A series of smartphones. Priced at under $300, the A54s features a triple rear camera and a large 6.52-inch display making it great value for money.

The display is a decent 6.52-inch Eye Care Display making it perfect for media consumption without straining the eyes. With such a large display you need a large battery and the A54s has that with a 5,000mAh battery which promises up to 21 hours of video streaming playback. OPPO has also included their Super Nighttime Standby whereby it only consumes 1.32% of battery in 8 hours overnight.

The camera is no slouch either with the triple rear camera comprising a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP macro camera. The front 8MP camera rounds out the imaging system, promising to deliver high end imagery at a fraction of the high-end price.

OPPO smartphones are also usually some of the best-looking smartphones on the market and the A54s is no different here coming in a Crystal Black and a Pearl Blue colour along with its 8.4mm thickness making it lightweight as well. The phone includes their usual affordable side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for added security.

The OPPO A54s runs ColorOS 11.1 on top of Android 11 and includes all the usual Google additions such as Google Lens, Translate and Nearby. It’s on sale from today for just 9 at JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks and Australia Post.
