Unfortunately for actual camera companies, in 2021 and for some years now the camera on your smartphone is far more important than any dedicated camera.
That’s not to say those are not better, but for me the sheer number of smartphones sold makes them the contender for best camera every day of the week.
This year Apple stepped it up again, as did Samsung and many others – but Apple had that one little feature which just made you go wow.
Cinematic mode. A genuinely awesome software feature which allows a depth of field effect like a Hollywood movie – but from your iPhone.
On that, plus the regular camera itself – that’s the win for our award for EFTM Best Camera. The iPhone 13 Pro.
