Lenovo unveils new Alexa powered Smart Clock with dock

The Lenovo Smart Clock Essential has been a popular choice for smart home enthusiasts with easy access to Google Assistant. At CES 2022, Lenovo has now looked to expand that functionality with the new Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in

The Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in includes all the functions you’d want including the ability to have Alexa set setting timers, alarms and reminders, as well as add items to your Amazon cart and even control your smart home with just your voice.

The Smart Clock Essential still has the same big and bold LED display, and has a physical mute switch for the on-board microphones, but doesn’t have a camera so it can be used in your bedroom without any issues. The 3W full range speaker on-board is front-firing for great sound, and you can include it in Speaker Groups for use with Amazon Music.

Just like the Google powered model, the Smart Clock Essential also has an ambient Light Dock featuring eight lighting modes, ranging from solid colors like cherry and ocean blue, warm sunset tones, gorgeous rainbow light, to rhythmic motion lighting with colors fading in and out for a moment of zen – all of which can be set from the clock, voice command or through the Alexa app.

The Alexa powered model will actually come with two choices for the Ambient Light Dock, a cute Squid or a Sealion-inspired dock.

The Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in will be available in either Misty Blue and Clay Red colour options – but dates for launch and pricing here in Australia haven’t been announced as yet. We’ll let you know if we hear some more on availability here.
