Vivo bringing their latest Next Gen affordable smartphones to a Telstra store near you

We are spoiled for choice when it comes to affordable smartphones in Australia and one of the manufacturers who are strong in this segment is Vivo. Today they have announced their latest offering, the Y55 5G and the Y21s, will be arriving in Telstra’s pre-paid category nationwide.

Vivo Y55 5G

The Vivo Y55 5G is now (equally) Australia’s most affordable 5G smartphone, priced at just $299 (TCL’s 20R5G is $299 at Vodafone). The Y55 5G offers exceptional value for money, not just supporting Telstra’s 5G network but also features such as a side fingerprint sensor, a 6.58-inch FHD+ display, a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charge (USB-C).

The camera also promises to be decent too with the triple rear camera featuring a 50MP main camera and a macro lens for close up and decent bokeh images. Under the hood is a Dimensity 700 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with microSD card support.

The 8.2mm ultrathin Vivo Y55 5G is available exclusively through Telstra online and instore in Starlight Black for just $299 — pre-paid only. For more information head on over to the Vivo website.

Vivo Y21s

The Vivo Y21s is even more affordable than the Y55 but does miss out on a few features such as 5G and FHD+ display but does still include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charge support and a triple rear camera.

The display is slightly smaller at 6.51-inch display with a HD+ resolution and the main camera on the rear is still a 50MP camera promising decent imaging in an extremely affordable package. There is once again 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with microSD support.

The Vivo Y21s is available online and instore at Telstra for just $199. For more information head on over to its webpage on the Vivo site.
