LG’s Star Wars themed C2 OLED goes on-sale in the US this week

Buying a TV isn’t generally an impulse buy, but when LG serves up the opportunity to grab a Star Wars themed version of their new C2 OLED display, you could say I’m very interested. But, unfortunately for me, but luckily for my wallet, it’s only going on-sale in the US and Germany.

The Star Wars themed LG C2 OLED is limited to just 501 sets, a nod to the 501st legion cosplay group, from the LG US website and it looks as if it’s only available in the 65” size. It’s priced at $2,999.99 USD, a $900 USD spike from the standard C2 65” model

What do you get in the special edition model? The feature list includes:

  • Star Wars-branded magic remote with lightsaber pointer
  • Exclusive gallery of unique Star Wars content for gallery mode
  • Star Wars-branded packaging featuring an image of Darth Vader™
  • Darth Vader™ iconic breathing sound when TV is powered on
  • Numbered certificate of authenticity

If you’re a fan of the LG C2 OLED, you can now get your hands on one, with LG unveiling local launch details last month. The latest C2 OLED includes some great improvements on the previous model, with a 20% boost in brightness, while also still including the great HDMI 2.1 options like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) which have made the C-Series LG a must-have for gamers.

If you’re in Germany or the US, you can put your order in but we’ll have to watch this one pass us by here in Australia. We’ll tune into Disney+ for some Kenobi to get our Star Wars fix for now.
