Samsung has announced a brand new colour Galaxy S22 is on the way, with the Bora Purple Galaxy S22 set to go up for pre-order from today.
The word Bora means Purple in Korean, so it’s a Purple Purple Galaxy S22 which will be available in Australia on August 11th. Anyone pre-ordering the Galaxy S22 in Bora Purple will be eligible to receive a pair of Galaxy Buds2, also in purple, valued at $219, as a gift with purchase.
Sonia Chang, VP of Global Brand Marketing Group, MX Business at Samsung Electronics said of the new Purple Galaxy S22

Samsung has previously made some great looking purple Galaxy devices, offering the Galaxy S8 in Orchid Gray, the Galaxy S9 in Lilac Purple, the Violet model of the S22 series and of course the stunningly good looking Lavender Z Flip 3 last year.
The new Bora Purple is set to also appear later this year with Ms Chang further saying
“We are excited to introduce Bora Purple, first for the S22 but also for exciting new Galaxy devices later this year.”
The hat tip there is for the ‘new Galaxy devices later this year’ which is likely a nod to the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 which are expected to be announced by Samsung at their Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10th.
The Bora Purple Galaxy S22 can be pre-ordered starting from $1,349 over on Samsung online.
