OPPO A77 5G arrives down under with two options to choose from

The mid-range smartphone market is getting a bit more spicy today with the launch of the OPPO A77 5G smartphone, which will be available in two different versions to suit different budgets and lifestyles.

The OPPO A77 5G will be available with 4GB RAM/64GB storage for $449, or you can go up to 6GB of RAM with 128GB of on-board storage for $499. 

Powered by the  MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, the phone includes a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W SUPERVOOC charging technology which can charge the phone to full in just 68 minutes, or give you an hour of video streaming in just 5 minutes. 

The phone features OPPO’s 90Hz Colour-Rich display offering a smoother scrolling experience, and are colour accurate with 100% DCI-P3 colour space support. They’re designed for indoor and outdoor use with the screen brightness ramping up to 600 nits. The phone also includes dual speakers for an amazing audio experience offering full range, crystal clear and immersive audio.

On the rear of the phone is a 48MP Dual camera which includes a 2MP depth sensor for improved bokeh for portrait modes, with the on-board algorithm able to alloweight areas of customisation and 100 levels of intensity, allowing you to finely tune the softening effect. There’s also an 8MP selfie camera on the front in a tear-drop notch.

The camera also includes an AI scene optimiser, recognising 22 different kinds of scene including sunsets, grassy fields and blue sky and tailors the settings to ensure you get the best results.  

The phones are just 7.99mm thin and will be offered with straight-cut sides and offer the stylish OPPO Glow Design in two colourways including Midnight Black and Ocean Blue.

The phones offer a higher end resilience, with drop testing and temperature resistance ensured for the harsh extremes of the Australian environment. There’s also IPx4 water resistance so you can still use it in the rain without worry.

Running the latest version of Color OS 12.1, based on Android 12 the OPPO A77 5G includes a great range of features including FlexDrop which lets you set apps at full-screen, or in windows for excellent multi-taksing and of course the Privacy Dashboard built-in to Android and more.

The OPPO A77 5G is available today from the OPPO Australia online store, JB Hi-Fi, Big W, Australia Post, The Good Guys (Midnight Black only), Bing Lee (Midnight Black only), Harvey Norman and Woolworths.
