Alienware upgrade their flagship desktop and reveal a new Tenkeyless Keyboard and QD-OLED gaming monitor

Alienware has today announced a couple of new products today along with an upgrade on a favourite, their Aurora R15 desktop. The new products include a Tenkeyless gaming keyboard and their second QD-OLED gaming monitor.

Alienware Aurora R15

The upgraded Aurora R15 receives a processor boost to the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs and many system refinements. The new system improvements include 240mm liquid cooling which can be further upgraded to 240mm Cryo-tech liquid cooling, five 120mm fans, hexagonal side-venting for more airflow, voltage regulator heatsinks on the motherboard for even more cooling.

The new power supply has been upgraded to an 80 Plus Platinum-rated power supply, improves RAM memory to DDR5 4800MHz. These all result in 58% more power to the processor with double digit performance improvements but at the same time running the CPU up to 5 degrees cooler. Other improvements include increased airflow by up to 19%, up to 66% quieter in CPU intensive tasks and 9% quieter in GPU intensive tasks.

The new Alienware Aurora R15 desktop gaming computer will be available later this year with pricing expected closer to the release date.

Alienware Tenkeyless Gaming Keyboard (AW420K)

The new Tenkeyless gaming keyboard helps maintain a minimal desktop clutter leaving plenty of room for manipulating your mouse. Connected via a cable to your PC it’s small footprint (14.46”W x 5.81”L) allows for much more portability if you want to take your gaming on the road.

The all-important switches are Cherry MX Red switches providing the reliability and durability you’d expect from the best switches on the market. The switches are guaranteed for more than 100 million actuations without any loss in quality. Combined with the double-shot PBT keycaps you can be sure your keycaps will also provide durability and longevity to your keyboard.

The Alienware Tenkeyless Gaming Keyboard will also be available later this year with pricing set to be announced closer to the release date. US pricing is US$129.99 so expect it to land here around the AU$200 mark.

Alienware 34 Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3423DWF)

The Alienware 34 Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3423DWF) is the sibling to the AW3423DW, currently sitting on the EFTM review desk. The new AW3423DWF brings the same high-quality Quantum Dot-OLED technology providing “consistent colour uniformity, wide colour coverage, deep black tones and incredible brightness” but this time at a more affordable price.

Not only is the new AW3423DWF monitor WQHD (3440 x 1440) but it also has a 0.1ms GtG response time, a 165Hz native refresh rate and is TUV-certified ComfortView Plus to reduce the eye-tiring blue-light emissions but still providing the punchy QD-OLED colours.

The Alienware AW3423DWF monitor has a slimmer profile allowing for easier wall mounting and is available in their Dark Side of the Moon colour (black-ish) and includes a 3-year warranty. It will also be available later this year with Australian pricing unavailable at this stage. It will have a RRP of US$1,099.99 in the US so expect it to hopefully come in a tick under AU$2,000.
