The next version of the Bose QuietComfort earbuds have been rumoured for a while now and now Bose has officially launched them, the QuietComfort Earbuds II. The new QC Earbuds II are designed to deliver a personalised audio and noise cancellation performance, no matter the shape of your ear.
The new QC Earbuds II features an all-new design, 30 percent smaller than the first version of the QC Earbuds, this time weighing in at under seven grams with a much smaller charging case. Bose has always had great fit in the ears and the QC Earbuds II promise more of the same with their Eartip Fit Kit which is now a two-piece system with interchangeable pieces to deliver comfort and security.
“Since we brought noise cancellation to market, we’ve remained passionate about pushing boundaries in engineering, technology, and design — and the QuietComfort Earbuds II are the latest result of that commitment,” said Raza Haider, chief product officer for Bose.
Debuting in the QC Earbuds II us a new feature called CustomTune. Every time the earbuds are removed from their case and placed in your ear, they emit a proprietary tone and a microphone inside the earbud measures your ear canal’s response to it. The earbuds then immediately tailor the audio and noise cancellation to your ears ensuring the best possible noise cancellation.
Bose also include the usual Aware Mode and ActiveSense allowing you to adjust the transparency of your environmental sounds along with on-the-fly adjustment to the noise cancellation as noise happens and only for as long as it lasts.
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II include Bluetooth 5.3 capability, an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance and support your mobile device’s digital assistant. The earbuds offer up to six hours of battery life with another 18 hours provided by the new, much slimmer case. Each earbud still has touch controls on them which can be tailored to your liking using the Bose Music app.
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II will be available in Triple Black from September 29 and retailing for AUD $429 / NZ $469.95. Pre-orders in Australia and NZ are available now via Bose.com.au / Bose.co.nz and select retailers. A Soapstone colour variant will be available later this year.
