Logitech has announced the latest versions of the world’s most popular gaming mouse, the G502 X and the G502 X PLUS with a raft of new innovative additions to enhance your gaming chops.
“The G502 is an icon in gaming and we know that the community has been looking for the next-generation offering,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech Gaming. “We reimagined the iconic G502 with design and engineering updates that elevate the legendary gaming mouse into a new era of play. With lighter materials and cutting-edge technology, the new G502 X promises to continue the G502 tradition of ultimate performance and total control.”
The new G502 X has been updated with Lightforce hybrid optic-mechanical switches which provide greater speed and reliability along with precise actuation — just what you want in a gaming device. Lightforce combines microswitch technology with the benefits of optical switches (speed, performance, and reliability) giving the tactile sensation that every gamer wants. The end result is an ultra-low latency optical actuation with a crisp tactile mechanical click.
Included in the multitude of buttons a reversible and removable DPI-shift button that allows you to customise the mouse based on your hand size and grip style. The scroll wheel has been redesigned with a higher stability but reduced weight but continues to provide the G502’s “dual hyper-fast infinite scroll and precise ratchet modes.”
The sensor underneath is Logitech’s HERO 25K high-precision gaming sensor bringing amazing accuracy and response times. The sensor and Lightforce results in a 68 percent faster response time than the previous version. The wireless version uses Lightspeed wireless protocol to connect to your PC and is compatible with Logitech G Powerplay wireless charging mats.
As you would expect in a gaming device the RGB 8-LED lighting is customisable and adapts how the mouse is being used at the time.
Both the Logitech G502 X (wired) and G502 X PLUS (wireless) gaming mice are available in black and white and will be available on LogitechG.com and selected retailers in September 2022 for $149.95 and $279.95 respectively.
