OPPO rolling out ColorOS 13 and Android 13 to Australian Find X5 Pro smartphones

Just under a month ago OPPO announced ColorOS 13 to the world and we here at EFTM were lucky to get a sneak preview of it. Now Australians with a Find X5 Pro will be able to experience the latest and greatest OPPO and Android has for them with the update rolling out today.

Users with the flagship OPPO Find X5 Pro will now either have an update notification waiting for them or they can trigger the update themselves. If you do not see the update notification you will have to head into [Settings] –> [About Device] –> [Official Version] or [New Version Available].

Once in the update page you will be able to download the update now if you wish — bear in mind that the update is 2.98GB is size so those will limited mobile data will want to make sure they are on Wi-Fi before starting the download.

The new ColorOS 13 theme brings with it some “softer” transitions which turn out to be smoother but slightly slower along with a new Aquamorphic Design. The Aquamorphic Design includes new icons, new illustrations, and updated fonts. The new UI is designed to be more “fluid, vibrant, and inclusive”.

Along with the theme changes mentioned above OPPO has redesigned the Quick Settings tiles to make it easier to use them, especially the ones you use the most — you can decide which tiles you want as bigger widget areas.

The home screen also brings an innovative change with enlarging folders so you can see the inside of a folder and open apps without having to open the folder. As seen in the screenshots below, if you are a user of the OPPO launcher then this will be incredibly useful to you.

Of course, ColorOS 13 brings all the new security features of Android 13 with many of them unseen by the user but you can be happy to know that your smartphone will have the latest security and safety features Google has designed.

For more information check out our ColorOS 13 launch post or just download the update and experience it for yourself.
