Finally, a different tablet: OPPO launches the Pad Air into Australia

Here in Australia we don’t much in the way of tablets with two manufacturers leading the way. Now OPPO has thrown their hat into the ring, finally launching their Pad Air Downunder, going on sale from October 27 for just RRP $379.

The OPPO Pad Air features a stunning design in a thin, light two-tone metal design and works seamlessly with your other OPPO devices with their multi-screen connect thanks to the ColorOS operating system powering it. Multi-screen connect allows users to drag and drop from one device to another along with clipboard sharing.

The OPPO Pad Air has a fingerprint-proof finish with the outer surface featuring grooves to allow for a more secure grip. The Pad Air is just 6.94mm thin and weighs just 440 grams which is impressive given the tablet features a 10.36-inch 2K HD display. This display has passed TÜV Rheinland’s certification for eye care and includes low blue light eye protection that reduces eye fatigue.

Under the hood the Pad Air is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon® 680 Mobile Platform and includes four large speakers that support Dolby Atmos. The Pad Air promises impressive battery life with a massive 7,100mAh battery.

Speaking of the launch, OPPO Australia Managing Director, Michael Tran said:

“As a business we’ve been working really hard to develop an ecosystem of products that our consumers would love. Our tablet has been in development for some time now, but we wanted to ensure the product was perfect before bringing it to market. We’re confident we’ve achieved that. Not only does the Pad Air look great, the performance, and in particular the ColorOS operating system, means consumers can enjoy a seamless user experience,”

To celebrate the launch of the OPPO Pad Air, it will be offered as a gift with any purchase of an OPPO Find X5 Pro ($1,799) or OPPO Find X5 ($1,399). Customers will also receive one OPPO Smart Cover (valued at $79). The promotion is available from 27 October 2022 and closes at 11:59pm (AEST) on 24 November 2022 — only from retailers JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, Big W, The Good Guys, Bing Lee, Amazon, Kogan, Catch, MobileCiti, Woolworths Mobile, Yes Distribution, Telstra, Vodafone Australia, OPPO Australia Online Store.

The OPPO Pad Air will go on sale from 27th October for just $379 from OPPO Australia.
