Motorola announces moto e22i with Dolby Atmos sound heading to Australia under $200

Motorola has something special for their next budget friendly handset with the moto e22i offering a ‘multisensory experience’ thanks to the inclusion of Dolby Atmos enabled stereo sound.

The moto e22i is available from today with the handset priced at $179, it will also arrive on the Vodafone network November 16th. Motorola says that the moto e22i will offer up to 25 per cent more powerful sound than the previous generation moto e, which should make it a great sounding device.

The moto e22i isn’t just about audio, with a large 6.5” HD+ resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate offering fluid, responsive scrolling throughout the phone. The moto e22i also includes a 16MP AI camera system which includes a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP selfie camera on the front..

Powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage which can be expanded up to 1Tb with microSD cards, the moto e22i runs Android 12 (Go edition) for lower specced devices. The Android (Go edition) OS comes with a range of Go Edition apps including Google Go, Maps, Go and more, offering a fast and responsive experience from the apps.

Kurt Bonnici, Head of Motorola for Australia and New Zealand said,

“Motorola is more committed than ever to pushing boundaries, from industry-leading cameras to next level audio capabilities. The new moto e22i gives users an exciting mobile experience that’s feature rich without breaking the bank.

“At Motorola we continue to set industry benchmarks thanks to our consumer-led approach to innovation. The moto e series is a great example of this, originally launched as an entry-level, no-frills phone, the franchise has gone from strength-to-strength. We will continue to make the most exciting and useful features accessible to more consumers, delivering great value without compromise.”

Motorola will be bringing the moto e22i to Australia in two colour options: Graphite Gray and Winter White.

You’ll be able to get hands on today at JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Big W, The Good Guys and Mobileciti as well as from Motorola through their Lenovo.com.au store or at Vodafone from November 16th.
