MSI has announced a plethora of new laptops at CES 2023 with all supporting up to 13th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs for that ultimate performance.
The newest MSI laptops are powered by NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture bringing a big leap in performance making them perfect for not just gaming but also content creation and business and productivity.
The new MSI gaming laptop includes their latest thermal design with heat pipes that have been redesigned to shared pipes, dedicated pipes, and VRAM-exclusive pipes. This results in a much cooler laptop allowing the user to game at higher speeds for longer and get the best performance out of the laptop.
All of the gaming laptops, from the high-end Titan series to the entry-level Katana series, allow activations of Discrete Graphics Mode through the MSI Centre giving the laptops even more GPU power.
The new gaming laptops can deliver a 16:10 QHD+ display with a refresh rate of 240Hz making them gaming behemoths with the keyboards including translucent keycaps for that perfect visual gaming experience. The higher end Titan laptops can be specced up to a 4K 144Hz mini LED display or a 16:10 QHD+ 240Hz display.
Middle of the road is the Stealth Series laptops with screen sizes including 14, 15, 16 and 17-inches. These are lightweight gaming laptops that deliver strong performance while also being great for content creation and media consumption. The Stealth laptops are available in a 240Hz OLED display and a less than 0.2ms response time.
MSI has also introduced a whole new series of entry-level gaming laptops with the Cyborg 15 series. The Cyborg laptops include a translucent chassis design enabling the user to see the insides of the laptop making it certainly something out of the normal boring laptop design.
The other entry-level laptops such as Katana, Sword and Pulse laptops have also been updated to support the latest chipsets and GPUs to improve performance across the board. They also now include a MUX switch and the ability to easily switch between hybrid graphics mode and discrete graphics mode in the MSI Centre.
The Creator Z series not only now support 13th Gen Intel Core chipset but also are certified by NVIDIAStudio making them the most powerful creator laptops on the market. Their displays support the new MSI Pen 2 with 4096 pressure levels and haptic feedback making it feel like you are writing on actual paper, perfect for that content creator who likes or needs to use a pen.
MSI also has also unveiled a new ultraportable, the MSI Prestige 13 Evo joining their Prestige line-up of the Prestige 14 Evo and 16 Evo. It will support the latest 13th Gen Intel processors and arrives with a 13-inch FHD+ 1920×1200 LCD panel which has a refresh rate of just 60Hz. Although not impressive the focus for this ultraportable is on size and weight with it weighing just 990 grams and comes in at just 16.9mm thick.
Connectivity is also impressive with two Thunderbolt 4 ports that support DP and PD charging, a single USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a full-sized HDMI port and a microSD card reader. Add in a backlit keyboard, a fullHD webcam with a shutter and a fingerprint sensor and it’s a fairly complete, and relatively affordable ultraportable.
All of the above laptops will be available in Australia in 2023 and with MSI looking to gain a greater foothold in Australia, expect the pricing to be extremely competitive.
