Razer not only announced a new handheld gaming device and a couple of new gaming laptops but some gaming accessories to make your gaming setup complete.
The Razer Leviathan V2 Pro is a soundbar that supports 3D audio thanks to beamforming of the audio and head-tracking AI. The new PC soundbar delivers a surround soundstage while making sure the user is always in the sweet spot of the audio for that optimal listening experience – that is what the beamforming and head tracking is for.
The Razer Leviathan V2 Pro is still in a compact form keeping your desk clutter-free while supporting multi-channel content and a broad range of sound thanks to the included subwoofer. Being a gaming device of course there is RGB lighting with 30 lighting zones allowing you to customise your own gaming experience entirely.
Available in February 2023, local pricing for the Razer Blade 16 and 18 is yet to be announced.
With the largest sensor ever to be used in a webcam, the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra promises to deliver DSLR-level detail and clarity with a simple plug and play setup. This professional webcam houses a massive Sony 1/1.2″ STARVIS™ 2 sensor with a 2.9 μm pixel size to capture more light and image data resulting in detail and clarity in any lighting situations than ever before. This is further enhanced by a custom large f/1.7 aperture lens to deliver four times the light compared to other webcams.
With this sensor and aperture, the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra can convert raw 4K 30 FPS (or 1080P 60 FPS) footage into uncompressed 4K 24 FPS, 1440p 30 FPS, or 1080p 60 FPS directly into your stream. Software-wise the camera is no slouch either with an in-built AI-powered Face Tracking Auto-focus to ensure sharp, steady facial focusing while blurring the background for that bokeh effect.
High end creators can also take this further with true to life colours and the Razer Synapse software to fine tune content quality with customisable settings such as ISO, shutter speed, pan, tilt and more.
The Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra will be available this month, but local pricing has yet to be announced.
Razer has also unveiled two new VR accessories for Meta Quest 2, an adjustable head strap system and the Razer Facial Interface.
The Razer Adjustable Head Strap System is designed for all head shapes to provide reliable comfort and durability while allowing the weight to be evenly distributed for improved balance of the headset during gaming.
The Razer Facial Interface is also designed for maximum comfort and optimised support by eliminating facial pressure and minimising skin irritation thanks to the hypoallergenic materials used by Razer in its construction. It blocks light while at the same time providing ventilation to help the gamer to experience full immersion in their game.
Razer’s peripherals for Meta Quest 2 will be available in the US in Q1 2023 with expansion into other areas expected further down the line.
Most gaming chairs have a head cushion for added comfort. Now Razer has announced Project Carol, a head cushion with near-field surround sound and haptics giving an even more immersive experience. At this stage it is a concept, but it has already won multiple CES Innovation and Best of Show Awards, so we hope and expect it to become a purchasable product before too long.
The head cushion provides a more direct rear audio, with the cushion converting game sounds into haptic feedback in real time allowing gamers to not just hear but feel everything behind them. Currently Project Carol only supports PC and is designed to fit on all gaming chairs and can provide up to 8 hours of gaming before needing to be recharged.
