MG confirms Australian price for the all-electric MG4 to start at $47,990

Another sub-$50,000 electric vehicle will hit the market in the coming months with MG confirming the company’s newest EV model is available for pre-sale now with a starting price of $47,990 plus on road costs.

The MG4 base model has a 64kWh battery, with 150kW of power and a solid 50/50 weight distribution and rear-wheel drive.

Range on that battery is touted to be 435km which should be ample for the majority of Aussie buyers right now.

With an all-new very modern look, the MG4 is the first model to use the new “Modular Scalable Platform” developed by MG and sets the path for a new generation of electric MGs from the brand.

There appears a bunch of great features with MG’s Pilot safety systems such as Blind Sport detection, Lane change assist and rear-cross traffic alert all standard in the base “Essence” model.

Keen buyers can pre-order from any MG dealer from Tuesday 11 April.
