Amazon have unveiled their latest Alexa powered smart devices with the Echo Pop available to pre-order today alongside the second generation Amazon Echo Auto.
The Echo Pop is a new addition to the Echo family, taking the Echo and Echo Dot sphere design and slashing it in half for a newer design.
The new design includes a front-facing directional speaker which Amazon says will ‘deliver full sound’ with small spaces including bedrooms or apartments, the specific market for the Echo Pop.
The Echo Pop comes in the usual Glacier (White) and Charcoal (Black, as well as two new ‘popping’ colours Lavender Bloom and Midnight Tea, which Amazon says have been ‘designed to match your space and style’.
To add more options there’s also silicone sleeves available for the Echo Pop in seven colours which includes a glow-in-the-dark option for AU.95 each.
There’s more ways to accessorise your new Echo Pop with a battery base to make the Echo Pop portable for AU.95, a USB charging base which gives more charging ports for other devices for AU.95 and a Shelf Wall Mount to position the Echo Pop perfectly for AU.95 or an outlet hanger for AU.95.
Amazon is also launching the second gen Echo Auto for the car offering access to Alexa on the go.
The new Echo Auto comes in a slimmer package than the original which launched here in Australia in 2020, and has a fabric covering which aligns it visually with the rest of the Echo range.
The Echo Auto has five in-built microphones to ensure your voice can be heard over any music playing, air-conditioning or road noise, says Amazon. This enables the Echo Auto to play music, set alarms and even making call. You can also activate your smart home devices from the car while you’re on the way home,
Both the Echo Pop and Echo Auto (2nd Gen) are available to pre-order in Australia from today with Echo Pop due to start shipping on May 31st, while the Echo Auto looks to start shipping on June 1st.
