5G is coming to more Amaysim plans and speed caps too

Australian mobile provider Amaysim has announced an expansion of 5G availability on three of their plans as well as introducing speed caps across all mobile plans.

The inclusion of 5G will begin on amaysim’s $30, $40, and $50 Unlimited Mobile Plans for both new and existing customers on July 3rd. Customers will automatically receive the upgrade to 5G at no extra cost, and without having to make any changes to their plans.

Renee Garner, Head of amaysim, said

Most 5G market offerings are currently out of reach for many Aussies because they come with a premium price tag. We’ve ditched that constraint by offering exceptional 5G network access on our Unlimited plans $30 and above, at no extra cost.”

Also arriving on the 3rd of July are speed caps which will see customers getting a maximum download speed of 100Mbps on their $15, $20, $30, and $40 Unlimited Mobile Plans and Long Expiry Plan. Customers on the Amaysim $50 Unlimited plan will have a slightly higher cap with a maximum download speed of 150Mbps.

Looking ahead, Amaysim have also advised that there’s new plans set to launch on August 28. The new plans include two new 365-day expiry plans offering 150GB of data for $170 or 200GB for $220 as well as a new Unlimited Mobile offering giving 10GB of data for $18.
