Samsung announces new premium Galaxy S9 tab range

Alongside the new Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 phones announced tonight, Samsung have also announced their new premium Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets at their Join the Flip Side event

The new Galaxy Tab S9 Series includes three new models, the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

All three Galaxy Tab S9 models offer a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display capable of up to 120Hz refresh with HDR10+ support and a specially designed Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor. The tablets all include IP68 water and dust protection, which also covers the S Pen so you can use your tablet indoors and out.

As well as the large, bright and colour accurate displays which allow for multi-tasking in up to three windows, the Galaxy Tab S9 series also includes 20% larger quad speakers than it’s predecessor. The sound system includes AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos support for immersive sound.

The much vaunted Samsung Galaxy S Pen is included with every premium Galaxy Tab S9 device. The S Pen includes excellent sensitivity and accuracy, offering a pen-on-paper like experience.  The S Pen can be used to take notes, write in search bars and much more.

There are differences across the Galaxy Tab S9 series with the models including different display sizes, batteries and memory.

Starting off, the Galaxy Tab S9 includes an 11” display, 8,400mAh battery and with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Prices for the Galaxy Tab S9 will start from $1,299.

The Galaxy Tab S9+ includes a 12.4” display, 10,090mAh battery and comes with 12GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage. Pricing for the Galaxy Tab S9+ start from $1,699 in Wifi or $1,949 with 5G connectivity.

As you’d expect the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra takes it to the limit with a 14.6” display, 11,200mAh and either 12GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, or a 16GB memory model with 1TB of storage. The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will start at $1,999 for the Wifi-only model, or with 5G from $2,249.

The Galaxy Tab S9 series is available for pre-order in Australia from today, with a free Book Cover Keyboard Slim available via redemption if you get in before they go on-sale on August 18th. If you pre-order you’re also eligible for their free storage upgrade.

For those wanting to pre-order through Harvey Norman, you’ll get all the bonuses with the addition of a $100 Harvey Norman Gift Card if you get in before August 1st.
